Ink
Whoever thought that ink would be such a diffacult subject?
It is about to drive me nuts!
Not only the research of it and the lack of recipes, but the making of it as well.
And all I ever wanted to do is write calligraphy, never thought it would turn into this much trouble!
But, I DO want to do "more period" projects! So have to bite the bullet..
Just wish I could find what I need to.. sigh..

Hi Brianna,
I'm sorry that making the ink turned out to be so difficult. I did a quick search on Oak Gall Ink and turned up a number of hits, including The ink corrosion website at http://www.knaw.nl/ecpa/ink/intro.html. It is a secondary source, but it has some useful information and under the "how to Make Ink" section there is a nice troubleshooting guide that may be helpful. Let's discuss it this more on Saturday. :-)
