Same old Same old

Well things are pretty much the same here.

Still working on Blackwork, trying to get that project finished. Once that one is done I have to concentrate on the foreskirt of my dress and get that finished.

I won't have another Calligraphy project til September. But I do need to be practicing Uncials.

Need to get busy with my tablet weaving. I am going to start trying to weave with wool I have spun myself. Ought to be interesting to say the least. My goal is to eventually make something with the wool I get from Bert and Ernie (my two sheep) after I have spun it up.

All the pets are good. Spot (the new cat) is still roaming around, so she has decided she is not gonna stay here permantely.. And that is okay too.. I am still gonna make sure she has enough to eat when she comes by our house. I know I can't take care of them all, but I can take care of the ones I can.

Quiet Here

Been pretty quiet here lately.

Just been working on projects--Blackwork and my spinning.

Trying to figure out what to enter into Queen's Prize since I am not doing anything with my Psaltery.

Trying to figure out what my next Calligraphy project will be.

OH and I have a new pet! Her name is Spot. She is a solid black kitty with one white spot on her tail! Oh she is so sweet!

She showed up at our house, she has before but has always left again within a day.. Well this time she stayed like three days so I decided to adopt her and feed her. :) She is very friendly. :)

Eventually I hope I can have her in the house with our other two. But may not work, she has been outside all along, so she may not want in ever. Who knows?

Sheep on Geese!

Well I FINALLY was able to get pics of the geese standing on and grooming one of the sheep.

Here are all my geese, grooming Ernie(the sheep) and one of the geese is standing on top of him!

Kingdom A&S

Well yesterday was Kingdom A&S. I entered my calligraphy project. My project is an Italian Rime by Pietro Bembo, dated 1543.

Had a really good day, met some new people, got to visit with a lot of friends too.

My judging went REALLY well! :)

We didnt' get home til about 10:30pm though.. I was really tired.

Quills

We have been finding all sorts of quills all over the field! My geese are molting! I am so excited. I have gotten 16 so far! It is so cool!

Now I will have lots for my calligraphy projects.

Amazing Site!

I saw the most amazing thing today.

The sheep/geese field and the dog pen border each other. Well the dog likes to wait til the sheep come close to the fence and then she jumps at them. The sheep jump and run and then come back for more,etc.. And then the dog does the same things with the geese..

Well today the dog jumped at sheep and they ran off, and to my amazement here come the geese en masse, necks stretched out, walking toward the dog and chattering like they were scolding her like they were coming to the sheep's rescue! It was so funny!
